One month ago to the day, we surveyed rental apartment prices on the Upper West Side.
The Upper West Side rents are now at their lowest level of the year. Expect them to start inching up again towards the end of March.
At that time, we said,
Now, just a little more than two month’s later, we can finally see that Upper West Side studio apartment prices are beginning to crack.
In that survey, we featured three Upper West Side apartment rentals that were under $2,000 per month, with the least expensive being $1700.
This is the time of year when apartment rents are at their very lowest. Naturally the snow, ice, and cold keeps potential renters from looking at apartments in droves. So you would expect the best deals to be made now. Keep in mind that all of these apartments are no fee apartments – and they are the very same apartments that broker’s charge huge fees for.
Today, we have seven apartments under $2,000 on the Upper West Side. That’s not much different than a month ago. But this month, two of our featured apartments are in brownstones. That’s a nice plus, as most brownstones tend to have a bit of charm and character.
