How can we possibly add to this letter? Amy signed Meg up and Meg is currently planning on looking this weekend.

Dear Amy, (one of our RDNY.com veteran agents)

I have lived in Boston all of my life, and I have never imagined settling down anywhere else. Several months ago I met someone online and we started a whirlwind romance. We have discussed living together and the only way that will work is if I move to where he is, because he is a business owner. Now we are trying to find Manhattan apartments for rent that are in our budget.

I am not very picky about a lot of things, but space is important to me. I have heard a lot of horror stories about New York apartments being so small that people store books in the oven. While that may be a way of life for some people, that is not something I see myself ever getting used to. I don’t expect to live in a mansion, but space is at the top of my demands list.

My boyfriend says that he would like a dining area that is separate from the kitchen. He entertains a lot, so that is something he has a strong desire for. I guess we will need to pay a pretty penny to find something like this, because of the limited space in Manhattan apartments.

Over the weekend I did a search for “Manhattan apartments for rent,” and I found several properties that look like they are in our price range. I planned on calling the listing agents to see how soon we can come and take a look at the available properties. Since Boston is so close, I can take a train there in a few hours if need be. But I’d rather rent the apartment through you, because you’ll be able to save me about $7,000 on the rental. I think your no fee service is the best!

I am very excited at the thought of living in Manhattan, and I mean that in a good and bad way. While I will have everything at my fingertips, including Times Square (where I will be working) and every restaurant I can possibly imagine, the thought of living in such a populous city is pretty overwhelming. Boston is big, but it is nothing like New York City.

This morning I got several calls from people that are offering Manhattan apartments for rent. A few of them where purposely hazy about the prices, so after speaking with them I realized that the rentals they were offering were a bit out of our price range. They were not willing to negotiate at all. I guess that means I need to get my RDNY.com account going today. Call me.

Regards,

Meg XXXXX
